USC’s Ward Says Defense Continues To Get Better
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — While USC head football coach Steve Spurrier was unimpressed with the offense in Saturday’s scrimmage, defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward says the defense continues to get better. Ward says the defense made some plays and gave up some others. He also says 12 days away from the Gamecocks season-opener at Vanderbilt, he is pleased with where the defense stands at this point. USC will return to the field Sunday afternoon for a non-contact practice. All practices are closed to the public.
