Warrant: Boy, 11, Inappropriately Touched by Church Member

David Marshall

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO) – A 25-year-old Orangeburg man is behind bars after he allegedly touched a young boy in a sexual manner.

David Marshall Jr. is charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor; bond was set at $20,000

According to the incident report, Marshall and the victim knew each other through church affiliation.

On Oct. 10, 2016 during a power outage caused by Hurricane Matthew, Marshall came over to the victim’s house and was seen embracing the victim on a couch, according to the report.

Marshall later inappropriately touched the victim when he got out of the shower, authorities say.

Then on Oct. 11, 2016, the victim’s mother reported to investigators with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s that the child was protecting his genital area and told her that Marshall got in his bed and “something happened” over the weekend.

Marshall is being held at the Orangeburg Calhoun Detention Center.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.
