Santee Man Accused of Stealing Furniture, Handgun from Lexington

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO) – A Santee man is charged with two counts of receiving stolen goods under $2,000.

Richard Shuler, 48, turned himself into the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office after investigators say they received a tip that Shuler stole furniture from several jurisdictions, including a handgun stolen out of Lexington.

On Monday the items were recovered at a Misty Glen Road residence near Elloree, investigators say.

According to investigators, Shuler allowed investigators to search the home and admitted he believed the items were stolen.

Bond was set $1,000 personal recognizance on each charge.
