RCSD Investigating After Argument Over Money Ends in Shooting

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WOLO)-Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies are asking for information regarding a shooting that stemmed from an argument over money Saturday night.

Deputies responded to the 100 block Cool Shade Drive at 6:00p.m to met with a male victim.

The victim told deputies that he was assaulted in the 100 block C Fleming Road for owing someone money. The victim said in his attempt to give the suspect his money back, the suspect refused to take it.

The two men had a verbal argument that turned physical.

The victim told officers he called a ride, but when he tried to leave a second male suspect pulled out a gun and shot at a female victims vehicle with a juvenile in the backseat.

Authorities say all three victims were able to get away, but discovered the back tire on the passenger side was flat after being hit by a bullet.

The adult male victim suffered minor injuries to the upper body.
