Look Forward Art Exhibit

Columbia, SC. (WOLO) — An inspiring look into the eyes of children and young adults thriving, despite disabilities or healthcare needs is coming in the form of an extraordinary art exhibit.

Family Connections of South Carolina  is hosting their first ever Look Forward art exhibit at the Tapp’s Art Center giving visitors a unique look a photographs that capture the personalities, heart and hope of 50 different people and each of their stories of how they are living full lives regardless of the challenges they may face.

Padgett Monzingo, State Communications Manager for Family Connections of South Carolina says, the idea for the art exhibit came from the response of parents who’ve often said ” I wish the world would SEE my child and not just their disability!” Now they can.

During First Thursdays, there will be a preview of the exhibit. The actual opening event will be held Saturday, April 8th from 6-9pm at Tapp’s Art Center, at 1644 Main Street in downtown Columbia.
