Hurricane Maria slammed into the tiny island of Dominica on Monday night. This is the first time in recorded history that a Category 5 Hurricane has come within 100 miles of Dominica.
On Wednesday Maria is expected to make a direct hit on Puerto Rico.
Then Maria is expected to turn north of the Bahamas by Saturday. At this point it appears that Maria will miss the southeastern United States because another tropical storm (Jose) will help move the storm out to sea. But there are still a lot of moving parts on this one so please stay tuned for updates.
