Event Description

In honor of Veteran’s Day, the library will present the film, “The Americans on Hell’s Highway” on Tuesday, November 13th. The film and discussion following will be held at the Wood Auditorium at the Kershaw County Fine Arts Center at 810 Lyttleton Street in Camden.
This film, produced by “Living Battlefields” examines the American experience during Operation Market Garden, an attempt in September of 1944 to seize a series of strategic bridges linking the Netherlands with Germany. Members of the 82nd Airborne Division met their objectives, but the campaign ended in failure.
A discussion will follow the film. This program is free of charge.
