This much-anticipated temporary show highlights five of the Foundation’s fifty-two handmade works of art, featuring brilliant colors and pattern names such as Rainbow Tile, Lily of the Valley, and Anvil. These 19th-century treasures illustrate the craftsmanship of their makers as well as the availability of domestic and imported fabrics within our state during the 1820s through 1880s.
