Kids Day Columbia! closes out Youth National Violence Prevention Week with amusement rides, petting zoo, pony rides, carnival games, karaoke, entertainment, arts and crafts, food vendors, exhibitors, family fun zone, prizes and fun for everyone!

During this week-long national education initiative we are striving to unite communities in their efforts to address youth violence by encouraging participating schools to host in-school violence prevention discussions. In addition to offering discussion groups on various prevention strategies and recognizing local efforts by those who are effectively working to reduce youth violence, it is intended to provide an opportunity to establish local community roundtables that will develop action plans to reduce youth violence throughout the year. Such roundtables are the inspiration for the campaign slogan, "Building Safer Communities...Peace By Peace!"
