Event Description

How would you have designed Columbia when it was created? Through a series of activities, we will examine how Columbia became the first planned state capitol in the country. Students will learn how the city developed during the past three centuries and how state government components was included from the beginning. The state, university, fort, and other institutions have played vital roles in the development of Columbia. Reservations are suggested. To make your reservation, email or call 803.252.1770 ext. 36.
