Richland One School Board Candidates Forum

The candidates running to fill the vacant at-large seat on the Richland One School Board have been invited to speak at a public forum Thursday, May 23 at 6 p.m. at the Benedict College Center for Continuing Education, 111 Doctor's Circle, off Sunset Boulevard.Return to event list.
According to Richland County Elections and Voter Registration, the following persons completed documents declaring their intentions to seek the seat: Pamela Adams, Deborah Belton, Doretha A. Bull, Raymond Cook, Reginald Sims, and Karen W. Wilson.
The forum is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Columbia and Benedict College. The Special Election to fill the seat will be held Tuesday, June 4.
The goal of the forum is to give voters the opportunity to hear from the candidates in person on a variety of issues. Questions for the candidates can be submitted on index cards provided at the forum or by email in advance, firstname.lastname@example.org.
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
The League of Women Voters representatives will conduct voter registration before and after the Forum.
