Join the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute for a free special presentation about a type of radiation treatment that effectively targets cancer and minimizes risk of side effects. Learn more about how proton therapy works and the types of cancers treated with proton therapy including head and neck, brain, eye, lung, lymphoma, pancreas and prostate cancers. Patient services director Bradlee Robbert will discuss the advantages and benefits of treating cancer with proton therapy.

The University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute, located in Jacksonville, Fla., is the only proton therapy facility in the Southeast U.S. and one of 11 in the country. It is a nonprofit, academic health center affiliated with the University of Florida College of Medicine.
