Mrudani School of Performing Arts presents Shashank Subramanyam, a world-renowned, Grammy Award-nominated flutist who will perform classical music from Southern India. As part of an outreach component, Mrudani School will present a music clinic in collaboration with Trustus Theater. The music clinic on April 18th and the formal performance on April 19th are free to the general public. Our goal is to create a vibrant gathering place for individuals, organizations, musicians and educators to share ideas and gain an increased appreciation and understanding of South Indian Classical Music. "This program is funded in part by a generous award from the John and Susan Bennett Memorial Arts Fund of the Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina. This project is funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts."
