Event Description

The Point of View Film Series invites you to witness a seduction, a mystery and a murder as we screen "Body Double" (1984) on July 17th at 7:00 PM.

Brian De Palma's 'Body Double' goes too far, which is the reason to see it. It's sexy and explicitly crude, entertaining and sometimes very funny. It's his most blatant variation to date on a Hitchcock film (''Vertigo''), but it's also a De Palma original, a movie that might have offended Hitchcock's wryly avuncular public personality, while appealing to his darker, most private fantasies. The film stars Melanie Griffith, Craig Wasson and Deborah Shelton. -- Vincent Canby, NY Times

This film screening is part of a continuing series presented by Point of View and Tapp’s Arts Center. P.O.V. meets monthly in the Skyline Room of Tapp’s Arts Center to view and discuss films of varying styles and genres from around the world.

Couch seating is limited so chairs, pillows and cushions are welcome.
