University of South Carolina’s Project FIT is excited to announce the first annual Family FIT Fest. A free health event for the entire family, FIT Fest will be held on Saturday, August 23rd from 11am-3pm at St. Anna’s Park, 1310 Lyon St. Columbia, SC. Also featuring our community partners BlueChoice HealthPlan Medicaid, Healthy Columbia, Walgreens, Sterling Sharpe Pediatrics, and Family Connections, FIT Fest will offer a variety of health screening services including blood pressure readings as well as BMI and glucose assessments. FIT Fest is designed to be a fun, family day around health and will include games as well.Return to event list.
Project FIT is a fun and interactive research program at the University of South Carolina (USC) that aims to help African-American families with youth between the ages of 11-16 learn positive lifestyle habits to prevent chronic disease and improve their health for life.
