Upstream: A Center for Mindfulness Practice and Holistic Mental Health will hold its third seasonal Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) 8-week class series beginning Sept. 18, 2013. Upstream teaches MBSR, a structured program proven to help reduce stress, anxiety, insomnia, pain and more through mindfulness techniques like breathing exercises, mindful meditation and gentle movement. Orientation is Wed., Sept. 18, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. or 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. and classes will run Wednesdays, Sept. 25 – Nov. 13, 9:00 – 11:15 a.m. (morning session) or 6:00 – 8:15 p.m. (evening session) with a Saturday retreat Nov. 2.
