Battle Over Your Ballots Continues
(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C, --
A debacle, just one of the words being used by SC GOP to describe the outcome of the November 6th election. The week long battle has been met with several challenges, including a lawsuit filed against the Richland county elections commission, seized ballots, and now new count that will add uncounted votes to already existing tallies.
Tuesday night Both SC Republicans and Democrats responded to a Supreme Court ruling to have the ballots returned to the county, a decision both parties said they were happy with.
SC Democratic Party Chariman, Dick Harpootlian says " we're concerned about making sure the votes are counted in an accurate fashion. This isn't about winning or losing."
A sentiment shared by SC GOP spokeperson, Matt Moore who says the GOP is leading the charge to find out what really happened in Richland County on Election day and make sure it doesn't happen again.
All ballot which were turned in Tuesday evening will be counted Wednesday morning. ABC Columbia news has learned those votes must be certified no later than Friday evening.
We will continue to monitor this developing story.
