Bloody Sunday Remembered
(WOLO) SELMA, ALABAMA, --
Vice President was joined by more than 5 thousand people as they took part in the annual Jubilee March over the same bridge hundreds were brutally beaten on as they protested for the right to vote.
Keynote speaker for the event Vice President Biden not only took part in the walk, but also spoke during the Martin and Coretta Scott King Unity Day Brunch. During his speech Biden reminded participants how important it is to remember the significance of the day.
"the most important a person can do in this democracy is just show up and vote" said Biden. While he admits, many strides have been made in the past 4 decades "there is still more work to do."
