Dick Clark Dead at 82
(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C. -- Complete shock is what we got from most of the people we spoke with here across the downtown area as they learned that man known for his contributions to music through radio and television was dead.
19 year old Amanda Moroun says she grew up watching Rockin' New Years Eve with Dick Clark every year even though she wasn't familiar with the name she knew he was important.
A completely different memory for Dwight Davis who says he grew up watching Dick Clark host American band Stand, dancing and singing along to the latest tunes every Saturday afternoon.
Reagrdless of the age group, everyone agreed that Clark has left behind an unforgettable legacy that brings a sad end to an era.
