Father's Day Gift to Congress
Mothers across South Carolina spent this Father's Day asking State Congressman to support gun legislation.
Over the past week the group, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America made neckties out of paper and yarn reading " I have gun sense" which they touted this weekend.
Organizers say their message doesn't stop there. They also plan on sending cards with similar messages. Participants say they hope their actions will encourage Congressman to consider their position.
Just last month the group held a rally on the State House Lawn honoring people who were killed in gun related violence. During the event they released what is being referred to as a "Mother's Bill of Rights", laying out how mothers are trying to protect their children from gun violence.
