Home pest control services in Cayce tells ABC Columbia news they've seen a slight increase in the number of service calls for insects you don't typically see until the spring. David Hill says the lack of a harsh winter has kept mosquitoes, palmetto bugs and even ants from lying dorment.
Since we are beginning to see those insects buzzing around earlier then usual, Hill says chances are by spring, we'll have to endure more of them as well.
Officials anticipate a higher than usual infestation period and say they plan to begin mosquito control earlier to keep up with the growing number. While they haven't seen many of them yet, Hill anticipates termites will be making a visit sooner as well.
