Prayers for New Pope

Saint Peters Catholic Church members came out in droves in hopes of sending prayers during the mass of the holy spirit.

It's a tradition that has taken place for centuries anytime a new Pope is chosen. While more than a hundred Cardinals remain behind closed doors and in the midst of the election process, Catholics here across the midlands say this is not a decision that can be made overnight.

" I think we've really entered the most dramatic part of the transition as far as the election of a new Pope goes. Now is when everything goes quiet, except for the smoke coming out of the Sistine Chimney."

While anxious to find out who the next Pope will be, many of the Catholics we spoke with say they will remain patient and in prayer.
