Water Boil Advisory

Tools

By Rochelle Dean

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., --

Columbia water works is asking residents who live on and around Windhill Drive and Sunbelt Boulevard to vigorously boil their water before using it to cook with, or drink.

Water officials say a 10 inch water main break may have allowed bacteria to contaminate the water in that area.

Columbia water officials are currently working to fix the problem, but are asking anyone in the effected areas to take the proper precautions before using the water.

If you have questions or concerns about the Boil Water Advisory you can contact SCDHEC at (803)545-4370
