Richland county and Columbia city leaders united at Tapp's Art Center for "Dinner and Dialogue". It's the rare opportunity where Officials have the chance to come together and talk about issues and how they can work cohesively to tackle them.

One of the issues brought up during Wednesday night's meeting, was the Revitalization Act which is currently before the legislative body. It's a bill that would help renovate abandoned or dilapidated structures around the city.

Leaders also discussed job growth. More than 1 hundred jobs coming to the city thanks to the construction of the new Fed Ex Building just east of I-77. As well as the expansion of the Aflac insurance agency along Huger street, which has broadened it's company three times in the past year.

This is the second year for the event and officials say they're already looking to expand. Hoping that by next year they will be able to include Lexington County in their round table discussion.
