SC Honors 70 Who Had Perfect School Attendance

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina education officials are honoring 70 students who never missed a day of school.

The students are being honored with certificates and letters from education Superintendent of Education Mick Zais.

Thirty-two of South Carolina's more than 80 school districts had a member of the class of 2012 never miss a day.

Spartanburg District 6 has the most with seven students, all of them at Dorman High School. Education officials say Dorman High has led the state in the number of students with perfect attendance for the past three years.

The Aiken County School District had six students, three of them from Aiken High School. Horry County schools had five with perfect attendance.
