1 Arrested, 1 Sought in Gilbert Shooting Death

LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) - Investigators say two men killed a 72-year-old man in his Gilbert home because they wanted to take his money and painkillers.

Lexington County deputies said 25-year-old Jeremy Brady was arrested Friday on a murder charge and an arrest warrant for murder has been issued against 26-year-old Nicholas Williams.

Investigators say the men had bought prescription painkillers from Robert Mitchell Sr. before, but went to his home on July 28 to rob him. Mitchell was shot several times in the chest with a shotgun.

Deputies say a safe taken from Mitchell's home was found in a car at Brady's house.

It wasn't known if Brady had an attorney.
