COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Columbia's parks and recreation department is giving kids in South Carolina's capital city's a way to stay active this summer.

Mayor Steve Benjamin is inviting people to come out on Tuesday and register for the 3rd Annual Back-To-School Drills and Skills Clinics and Health Fair.

Organizers say the clinics are scheduled for August at several locations around Columbia. Kids from ages 6 to 17 have a chance to learn basketball and tennis from some of the area's best coaches.

A showcase and health fair are planned for the end of the clinic.
