JACKSONBORO, S.C. (AP) — One man is dead and a second man is in jail after a shooting in Colleton County.

Chief Deputy Ted Stanfield says 30-year-old David Lee Brown has been charged with murder.

The sheriff's office says a woman called 911 to report her boyfriend had been shot at a home near Jacksonboro on Monday evening. Deputies found Demetrious Williams dead at the scene.

Officials say a shotgun was recovered. Deputies say the two men apparently knew each other, but the motive for the shooting is unclear.

Brown is being held at the Colleton County jail. It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
