Man wanted for killing 2 people found in barrelsCOLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Anderson County deputies are looking for a man they say killed two people whose bodies were found in separate barrels in Lake Hartwell. Investigators say 35-year-old John Young is charged with two counts of murder. Authorities say 37-year-old Andrea Mitchell and 52-year-old Tony McGinnis died from head injuries suffered in a beating a month ago. Mitchell's body was found Wednesday in a plastic barrel that was partially submerged in the lake. Deputies returned to the lake Thursday and found McGinnis' dismembered body in a metal barrel about 10 feet under water. Deputies say they found a chain saw and machetes at Young's home near where the bodies were found. Investigators say a man already in custody is charged as an accessory for helping Young get rid of the bodies. |
