Snow possible across northern SC

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The National Weather Service says snow is expected across northern South Carolina.

The weather service on Thursday issued a winter weather advisory for Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Lancaster, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg and York counties.

Forecasters say 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible in the mountains, while up to an inch of snow is expected from Anderson to Rock Hill. The snow should begin late Thursday and last into early Friday morning.
