2 men charged with North Charleston shooting death

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Authorities have arrested two men for a fatal shooting in North Charleston.

Police on Thursday charged 20-year-old Jalann Lee Williams and 33-year-old Robert Mitchell II with murder. Williams also is charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Police were called to a shooting shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday. Officers found a sports utility vehicle with the body of 21-yearold Akee Ladson of North Charleston inside.

Williams was arrested in a North Charleston motel. Mitchell was found at a home in Hanahan.

Police say the fatal shooting apparently happened during a drug deal.

It was not clear if Williams and Mitchell have attorneys.
