Coroner sees murder-suicide in SC couple's deaths

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina coroner says an estranged husband fatally shot his wife multiple times and then killed himself with a single gunshot to the head.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Saturday the victims of Friday's murder-suicide in northeast Richland County were 44-year-old Reynettia Moseley and 50-year-old Steven Moseley.

The coroner says she was separated from Steven Moseley and just returned home from dropping off children at school when she was approached and shot by her husband in front of her home. Watts says Reynettia Moseley died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.

The Richland County Sherriff's Department continues to investigate.
