COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)-- The South Carolina Education Lottery announced a Powerball® ticket worth $2 MILLION was purchased from Corner Pantry #133 at 8750 Farrow Rd. in Columbia for last night’s drawing.

The ticket sold in Columbia matched all five white ball numbers drawn. The ticket holder purchased PowerPlay® for an extra $1, to have the $1 million prize increase to $2 MILLION.

Last night’s win marks the second $2 million winning Powerball® ticket to be sold in Columbia since the Powerball® game was enhanced in January of 2012. In April, the Obama Gas Station on N. Main St. in Columbia sold the first winning ticket worth $2 million.

The odds of winning $2 million are 1 in 5,153,633.

The estimated Powerball® jackpot for Saturday, November 3, is $124 million.

Proceeds from every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery are returned to the state in the form of funding for education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
