SUMTER, S.C. (AP) — A Sumter man has been accused of causing the death of his bed-ridden wife by neglecting her.

Sheriff's deputies say they were called to the home of 78-year-old Louise Wilson on March 15. Authorities said they had to force their way through a door, which was blocked by trash on the inside.

Wilson was found unconscious in a bed. Authorities said she had open sores on her back and an unknown green substance on her legs.

Wilson was taken to a hospital but died a week later. Her husband, 74-year-old Isaac Wilson, has been charged with neglect of a vulnerable adult resulting in death.

It wasn't known if Isaac Wilson had an attorney. Deputies say he initially told authorities they couldn't come in the house until he had cleaned up.

This scenario is much more common than is reported. With all the T/B/M's wasted on nonsense.....which blah-blah is mating with this species, acid rain, global warming....who cares that the elderly (esp.) are dying from NEGLECT. Where are all the big, loud mouthed, in-your-face whiners?????SILENT.
