COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is holding two community events in Columbia to promote car seat safety.

On Saturday, deputies are scheduled to be at the Five Points Food Lion to demonstrate the right way to install car seats. Lott says they'll also inspect car seats that are already set up.

Lott says he's teaming up with Liberty Tax Service, Chick-Fil-A in 5-Points and Mothers Against Drunk Driving for the event. Another inspection day is scheduled for May 4.
