LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina homicide investigators say they've charged a suspect after discovering the body of a man who disappeared more than a month ago buried in his yard.

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department said Sunday they charged 26-year-old Worth Edward Cook III with murder, financial fraud and other crimes. Cook was being held Sunday at the Lexington County jail while awaiting a bond hearing.

The mother of 54-year-old David Diblasi of Lexington reported her son missing a month ago. Lexington County's coroner determined that Diblasi died Feb. 25 after being stabbed in one eye and suffering a fractured skull.

Lexington County Sheriff James Metts says detectives on Friday found Diblasi's body in a grave dug on Cook's property.
