Rep. Wilson holding veterans fair in West Columbia

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (AP) — U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson is offering veterans another opportunity to get some helpful information on jobs and benefits.

The South Carolina Republican is organizing a veterans fair on Wednesday at the West Columbia National Guard Armory.

Wilson's office says representatives will be on hand from organizations including the Social Security Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as local employers and veterans' groups.

There are also classes on resume writing, and Wilson is presenting the Silver Star Award to Spc. Joseph N. Tate, a Vietnam veteran who lives in Elgin.

Last month, Wilson held a similar event at Aiken Technical College in Graniteville.
