FORT JACKSON, S.C. (AP) — The South Carolina Army National Guard is warning residents near the McCrady Training Center they may hear loud noises over the next two days.

Guard spokesman Maj. Cindi King says National Guard troops are taking part in demolition training. The explosions are expected to be heard Thursday and Friday near the town of Eastover and possibly elsewhere in southeastern Richland County.

King says the forecast of overcast skies might enhance the noise.

King says the S.C. National Guard appreciates the community's understanding and continued support.

If there are any concerns related to noise or training, King asks residents to contact the S.C. National Guard Public Affairs office at 803-299-4327.
