"Today" show featuring segments on Charleston


CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — NBC's "Today" show is featuring segments on Charleston - voted last October as the top tourist town in the world by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler magazine.

"Today" hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb (HOE-duh KOT-bee) are hosting segments airing Thursday and Friday during the 10 a.m. hour of the national telecast. The hosts will be live from the College of Charleston on Thursday after they tape the segment that will air on Friday.

The show will feature local guests as well as Lowcountry recipes and products.

Not only was Charleston voted the top tourist town in the world by the magazine, it has been named the top tourist town in the United States for the past two years by Conde Nast Traveler readers.
