BISHOPVILLE, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina state officials are making sure a Lee County lake is swimming with plenty of catfish this summer.

The state Department of Natural Resources on Monday is using a specially equipped truck to stock Lake Ashwood with 750 channel catfish.

All of the fish were produced at Cohen Campbell State Fish Hatchery in West Columbia.

State officials say the 75-acre Lake Ashwood is a popular fishing destination because it's just a few miles from Bishopville and Interstate 26.
