Columbia holding homeownership workshop


COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Residents of Columbia have a chance to get free advice on how to get the most out of homeownership.

The City of Columbia Community Development Department and the Richland County Community Development Department are teaming up on Saturday for an OMG of Homeownership Workshop.

OMG stands for owning, maintaining and gardening.

Participants will get information on how to revamp their current homes, including decorating on a budget and landscaping. There will also be advice for first time homebuyers on what to look out for when buying a new home.
