Driver in fatal SC wreck had suspended license
SALUDA, S.C. (AP) — The other driver in a wreck that killed an off-duty Richland County sheriff's deputy and his wife has been charged with driving with a suspended license.
Authorities said Friday 26-year-old Scotrell Praylow was charged after a records check showed his license was suspended after failing to pay for a traffic ticket.
Praylow faces no charges in the deaths of Derek ElDada and his wife Leigh. The couple was on their Harley-Davidson when they were hit Wednesday evening by a Chevrolet Malibu that crossed the center line of Highway 391 after running off the right side of the road.
ElDada had been a deputy for nine years. A memorial service for the couple is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church in Lexington.
