Suspect charged in Florence club shooting death

FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) — A suspect has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a man at a Florence County nightclub last October.

Deputies say 22-year-old Deontra Rasheem McFadden of Lamar was arrested Wednesday.

Authorities say McFadden shot 27-year-old Junior Lee Johnson outside a Cartersville night club on Oct. 12.

McFadden was jailed awaiting a bond hearing, and it wasn't known if he had an attorney. Another man, Erick Antwaine Simon, has previously been arrested and charged with accessory before the fact of a felony.
