COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — School will be open soon, and the City of Columbia is holding a few clinics to help some student-athletes brush up on their skills.

Registration is now open for the 5th Annual Mayor's Back-to-School Drills & Skills Clinics. Youth ages 6 to 17 are invited to register for the weeklong instructional clinics on basketball, tennis and golf.

The clinics start Aug. 4 and end the week with a skills competition. They're free, but registration is required.
