COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A woman from Chapin is now wearing the Miss Teen USA crown.

K. Lee Graham won the Miss Teen USA pageant Saturday night in the Bahamas.

The 17-year-old from Chapin wants to promote her Beauty Secrets campaign, emphasizing that being beautiful is about being happy with who you are and how you treat others instead of striving for an impossible model of perfection.

During the interview portion, Graham was asked how people 100 years from now would remember the teens of today. She said she hoped her peers would be remembered as agents of change.

After Miss Universe Gabriela Isler put on her new crown Saturday, Graham said it was literally a dream come true because she would go to sleep at night dreaming about winning a major pageant.
