46th Annual Governor's Carollighting
(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C, --
Unseasonably warm weather didn't stop hundreds of people from coming out to the State House to celebrate the holiday season.
The countdown to another tree lighting for many, represented the official start of Christmas and all of the magic that comes with it.
From first time enjoying the yuletide season, to those who reminisced of those come and gone it was a time many spent reflecting on family.
Something Governor Nikki Haley and the first family encouraged attendants to keep in mind, especially this time of the year.
" It's a great time for our families to enjoy each other, but I want you to remember the men and women in uniform who've lost their lives and whose families are going to struggle this holiday season... The spirit of Christmas shouldn't only be during this time of year. The spirit of Christmas should be all year long."
