Amber Alert lifted for child abducted in Summerville

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO/WCIV) -- The Amber Alert issued for the child abducted in Summerville has been lifted.

The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division was able to find 2-year-old Haley Renae Briggs. At the time of the search, the child was last seen wearing a USA shirt and red pajama pants.

Authorities have arrested the suspect, believed to be 19-year-old Megan Marie Briggs.

WCIV, the ABC affiliate in Charleston, reports that the two were found in Haywood County, North Carolina, which is about 25 miles west of Asheville, according to Captain John Rogers with the Summerville Police Department.
