COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- The City of Columbia's Animal Shelter is raising money to help pay for the medical expenses of Junior and Leo, two dogs that were injured in a car accident on I-26, Tuesday, September 18th.

The owners of Junior and Leo were also injured in the accident and have returned home to Washington state. Sadly, they do not have the funds for all the medical expenses and transport home, so the local animal shelter is asking the community for help.

Junior's and Leo's injuries range from bruises and lacerations to a badly broken leg.

To donate please send checks payable to: The Animal Mission, Attn: Jr. & Leo, 127 Humane Lane, Columbia, SC, 29209.

Donations can also be made via the Animal Mission's website at www.animalmission.org or in person at 127 Humane Lane, Columbia. For more information contact Columbia Animal Services at 803-776-7387.
