CAMDEN, S.C. (AP) _ Kershaw County deputies say they have found nearly 20 pounds of cocaine dealers planned to package and sell throughout the South.
Sheriff Jim Matthews said the nine kilograms of cocaine was seized Sunday and three people were arrested, but he wouldn't release the location where the drugs were or the names of the suspects because the investigation into the drug ring continues.
Matthews says his deputies, along with state and federal agents, were led to the site after a two-month investigation following the seizure of an additional kilogram of cocaine and weapons.
The sheriff says police also found equipment to package and press the cocaine. He said the cocaine seized could be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
