Community Holds Candlelight Vigil for Former Neighbor

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) - Turning a gruesome scene into a beacon of light, the Lakeshore subdivision in northeast Columbia gathered to say goodbye to one of its newest neighbors.

A candlelight vigil was held in front of Almanita Smith's home Monday night. That's where deputies discovered the 26-year-old's body last week.

Marcus Bailey has been charged with her murder. He remains behind bars.
